Erin Eliason, contributing writer for St. Paul Media,’s How to Get Rid of Things and Nature’s Treatments, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bemidji State University in 2006. While at BSU she focused her writing studies on creative non-fiction and writing for the web, minored in Women’s Studies, worked as an Editor for River’s Meeting Project publication, and even met one Jonathan Hatch.
Erin’s first years at Bemidji State University were successful enough that she stuck around to earn her Masters of Arts in English, and simultaneously teach College Writing I, and College Writing II. She knew then that teaching is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. While Erin hopes to soon find a full-time teaching position at a college in the Twin Cities area, she hopes to continue writing for the web and integrating that knowledge and experience into her classroom.
Were you ever to catch sight of Erin, you would probably find her reading, writing, or playing with her dog. She enjoys rhetoric, audiobooks, Industrial music, German wine, and travel.
