Adam Bjerk too studied at Bemidji State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in English Education as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative and Professional Writing. Unlike the other writers at St. Paul Media, he has received many honorary degrees of black belt from various martial arts schools around the country. Adam met Jonathan Hatch at a non-lethal ninja weapons conference (vanishing smoke, blinding powder, quiet shoes…etc) where he was offered a writing position in return for the forbidden secrets of the Cobra Clutch.

Adam is currently working on the Red Lake Indian Reservation as a high school English teacher and role model. He resides in nearby Bemidji, Minnesota with his wife Laura, who also teaches in Red Lake and is a contributing writer for St. Paul Media. Adam enjoys many things, but is especially fond of complaining, setting outlandish goals, the thousand-yard stare, eating fake, franchise Mexican food, and reading books that make people laugh unhappily.
