Peder Hoyum

Peder Hoyum hails from the swampy forestlands of North Central Minnesota. He grew up in pleasant isolation, infatuated with the natural world and the innocuous doodles for which he was known. Graduating from a high school that didn't have Internet access, he soon launched himself headfirst into a digital world in its infancy.

He spent his formative years attending Bemidji State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Mixed Media. During those years he also spent a lot of time traveling around Europe making music and working as a cook and baker with Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota.

A lot has changed in the last fifteen years, but he still finds himself in love with the natural world and enjoys creating a drawing from time to time. Aside from Internet writing, he also works with several organizations towards the betterment of society through education and caring for those who are less fortunate.

Today he is living in the extreme Southwestern corner of Minnesota where he finds himself happily married to an English major. Together with their family of English Mastiffs they till the earth and tend to the flocks and herds with whom they share their bucolically propitious prairie homestead.
